Hi. I'm Emil from Facebook. I want ask about some things. First, what happened to the entrance to the garden in the World Financial Center complex? I marked this red color. Second, what's being done on West Street for a few months in a place that I marked the green color?

Thanks For Replying to my forum.
They are currently planning renovations for the World Financial Center, based on these pictures, they will be enclosing it in class, and it will eventually connect the Trade Center Complex with the Financial Center

Update- This week, core steel was added to support the antenna and cranes once they are installed.
The Antenna is 408 feet and will be installed in sections. Most will come by boat,two by road.
Noticeable antenna sections won't be visible until the fall or winter.
Concrete must be installed at the roof before any work for the communications ring and antenna can start.
Base Cladding will begin in October and will be the last completed for the tower.
The Tower will be open in 2013/2014.
Glass will reach the roof by December.

Deformed? What exactly do you mean by that?
West Street after the Tower is completed will have tree's planted along West Street, I'll have to read up on this as I'm not as familar with these plans as I am on the Tower complex.

You are free to ask questions on this forum and invite some of your friends if you'd like.

I mean, that every few months West Street was passable different lanes for cars. Probably by the underground passage

I'm sorry, I don't really understand, I'm not from New York, but I do have a general knowledge about New York construction such as the complex,432 park,etc. I'm not really familar with West Street, But I think I'm right when i say, they will open another lane of traffic starting from the complex because Greenwich, Vessey and West all connect.

Don't believe wikipedia, anybody can edit that site and post false information and rumors. The tower has reached it's final height, but it won't be considered topped until the last sprandel beam is installed.

Unfortunately, since I'm British, I have no real knowledge on the subject, to me it looks like they're pushing for world's highest skyscraper, so can someone tell me what the 'One-World Trade Center' is? Any connection to 9/11?

One World Trade Center is the lead building on the World Trade Center complex. A replacement for the twins.
The New complex will contain 7 new towers!
It's not going to be the highest in the world. It's roof height is only 1,368, but they are pushing for the tallest building in the United States.

A spire, which will contain an antenna will raise the height to 1,776, making it the tallest in the United States.
If they choose not to add the spire, then it will be the second tallest in the U.S and then become the third to the Sears Tower and 432 Park

7 new towers are planned, because of the towers rise only One World Trade Center and Four World Trade Center. Three World Trade Center will be have 7 stories only, and Two World Trade Center for the time being will be at street level. Five World Trade Center is on hold and Six World Trade Center is planned, but there is no project


Admin, but article on english Wikipedia is protected until, so everyone can't edit it. But I think that topped-out status will be celebrated. Like the Four World Trade Center

Admin, in your opinion, what could be the probable date of completion construction work on the World Trade Center site? I think that up to 2016 year (along with the construction of towers for Two World Trade Center and Three World Trade Center)

A probable date for completion would be anywhere from 2016-2025. I know it sounds ridiculous, but the real-estate Market is bad.

Larry has to lease 400,000 square feet of Tower 3, which could very well happen between November and Next year, if not, then the tower will be capped.
Tower 2 is already capped and is a larger tower would require the same amount of space or more to be leased.

The entire site could be completed by 2016, but I wouldn't count on it.

I'm not from New York City, but I want go to this city and this's my dream. Maybe as I can come to the city, it can do some shopping at The Mall at the World Trade Center

Me either. I'm from Philadelphia, which is directly next to New York, about a 90 minute ride.

The Mall should be open by 2014, the Transportation Hub and Podium of 3 will be open.

I'm not even from the USA, but somehow I know something about World Trade Center

Is the Three World Trade Center will look like, as it is in the red circle? So without the tower, with the podium

Until Larry Silverstine gets an anchor tenant for 3 world trade center, the podium will be built to 7 stories, the tower portion will not continue until a tenant is found.

Here's the current schedule for the tower.

1: The 2 cranes jump into the "doghouse" by the end of this week.
2: East and West cooling towers go up.
3: Build north crane support platform by Labor Day.
4: Relocate north crane by mid September.
5: North cooling tower by Sept 20.
6: 2nd tier of temp platform for south crane.
7: South crane relocates to support platform by end of October.
